About Burma Bay Cafe

Located at 47966 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539, Burma Bay Cafe operates as a burmese restaurant serving Fremont in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Fremont, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Fremont is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fremont follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My friend from Ardenwood brought me here today, and this was my first time trying Burmese food. What a great introduction. The flavor profiles were incredible, and every dish had something different going on. We started with the Tea Leaf Salad, and it was packed with layers of flavor. The mix of Burmese tea leaves, fried garlic, yellow beans, peanuts, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, tomatoes, jalapeรฑos, lemon, cabbage, and romaine came together beautifully. It was fresh, crunchy, bright, and something I would absolutely order again. Angel took care of us and did a wonderful job walking us through the menu, especially since it was my first time trying Burmese food. He was friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience even better. One more hidden gem: order the baby coconut. Once youโ€™re done drinking it, ask them to split it open so itโ€™s easier to scoop out the pulp. Yummy.

If you're looking for some decent Southeast Asian food, this is definitely one of your go-to spots in the Warm Springs area (if you live in south Fremont, very close, or if you live in Milpitas!) -- thank you to the MANY Yelp friends that put me on this place, because I do not regret deciding to go to this place. This restaurant can be packed at times due to its limited seating, so my best suggestion would be to plan accordingly WHEN you want to go for lunch or dinner. However, everything else is impeccable -- from the hospitality, to the food, to the environment. Here's how my experience went:There was a little bit of a wait when I went with my family -- maybe at tops 15 minutes? That wait was worth it though -- so there's that. However, as soon as we got seated -- they introduced us to some of the special dishes that they had. The waitresses answered our questions with lots of professionalism, which we honestly felt welcomed. We got the Aw No Khao Swye, and two more dishes. They were really saucy, and very rich in flavor -- not too saucy and overbearing in flavor. We got their salad and also their chicken over coconut sauce, most of which were absolutely delicate and yummy thin

Iโ€™ve been coming to this spot for a long time, and itโ€™s well overdue for a review! Whether itโ€™s my first visit or my tenth, the experience is consistently excellent. The Atmosphere & Service There are plenty of seating options, making it great for different group sizes. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, which makes every meal feel welcoming. The Food Everything we ordered was delicious: Tea Leaf Salad: Fresh, crunchy, and perfectly balanced. Burmese Style Chicken Curry: Rich in flavor and pairs perfectly with their Coconut Rice. Burmese Iced Tea: A refreshing must-order. A Quick Note on the Water One unique touch I love is that they serve water infused with fresh cucumber from a large jar. Itโ€™s very cooling and refreshing. However, if you have a cucumber allergy, definitely let the staff know or be cautious, as it is the standard water served. Summary Great food, lovely people, and total consistency. Highly recommended!

Always love a good tea leaf salad and this place offers one to satiate that desire. The place looks regular from outside but its pretty nice and neat inside. The host & servers are also welcoming and the service was fast. Not too crowded for a Sunday lunch. There are ample veggie options and they can also take request to adjust for vegetarians. If you like a little spicier, go for their medium spice, as the mild versions were a little bland. Prices are reasonable.

The food was amazing. I came recently for the first time for a large family event. The organizer said it has the same owners of her favorite Burmese restaurant in Dublin. The roti was flaky and crispy. The honey walnut prawns were also crunchy (fried) and sauced deliciously. The meat in the curries were tender. Even the shwe gyi surprised us with the size. It was moist and definitely made fresh there. The mango ice cream was also very flavorful. A lot of my family ordered the Burma Tea which the staff described like a Thai Tea. My mom who never had Thai Tea enjoyed it. At the end of the meal, we were so stuffed. I was impressed with the taste and how well cooked/ prepared all the dishes were, especially since we were a large group. Plus the staff were all so kind, helpful, and attentive. They also seemed happy! Which is rare. It made for a very pleasant dining experience. All in all, I recommend Burma Bay and would come again!
